The 12 volt Peristaltic Pump is quite small as can be seen in relationship to the can of RP7. The 4 lobed rotor rotates anticlockwise

at approx 100 rpm. This tends to pull the tubing through the pump and requires the tubing be anchored on the input side.

The only real wear should be on the tubing and the lobes of the pump.

 

This setup is pretty quiet. Certainly much quieter than any other system I have used. It can be heard running.

Displacement is very positive. It will pump air up through the camera and does not require priming.
